<span style="color: #000000;">JIPMER stands for Jawaharlal Institute of Post – Graduate Medical Education and Research which conducts its own entrance test every year for admission in MBBS (Number of seats: 127). <h3 style="color: black; font-size: 18px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><a name="eligibility" style="color: #000000;"></a>Who can Apply for JIPMER 2016?</span></h3><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(i)</strong> The Applicant should be an Indian National.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(ii)</strong> He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2016 , the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S., i.e. they should have been born on or before 01-01-1999.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;">(Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants).</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(iii)</strong> The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below:</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(a)</strong> The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(b)</strong> The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio -technology taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination is 40%.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(c)</strong> For OPH candidates in general category the minimum marks taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination will be 45%.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>(d)</strong> The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examina tion other than those mentioned in the list appended in Annexure – I, will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate before admission is finalized. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi is essential for OCI/NRI for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Note:</strong> Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March / April 2016 and whose results have NOT yet been declared can also apply for admission, if other eligibility criteria (i) (ii) & (iii) are satisfied.</span><br />

<h4 style="color: black; font-size: 18px;"><a name="how-apply"></a>How to apply</h4><br />
<span style="color: #000000;">Admission to the course is made every year. Call for applications will be announced around February every year and all major news papers in India will carry the announcement. Application form and prospectus will be available in JIPMER and can be obtained in person or by post by paying the prescribed fee in cash or by bank demand draft.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;">JIPMER reserves the right to reschedule examination due to any unforeseen circumstances or any periodic directive (s) from Competent Authorities. For any updated information refer the www.jipmer.edu.in.</span><br />
<br />
<h5 style="color: black; font-size: 18px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><a name="application-process" style="color: #000000;"></a>JIPMER 2016 Application Submission Process</span></h5><br />
<ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">As the form filling will be done online only, the first step of <strong>JIPMER 2016 Application Submission Process</strong> is to logon to <strong>jipmer.edu.in</strong>.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">Click “Apply Online” for MBBS Admission 2016 .</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">Complete the form as per the required information.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">The candidates should fill correct and complete information to complete the JIPMER 2016 Application Submission Process without any error.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">Any type of discrepancies detected at any stage of admission process will lead to rejection of application form.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">The form submission process will involve remission of form fee via the Bank Challan at SBI Bank Branches. The fee is Rs. 1000/- for GEN and OBC category candidates and Rs. 800/- for ST and SC candidates.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">The next step of <strong>JIPMER 2016 Application Submission Process </strong>will involve the uploading of recent passport sized photo and signatures for the online form.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">The next step will be to take the print out of the completely filled application form bearing the unique Registration Number.</span></li>
 <li><span style="color: #000000;">The form submission will be complete only after the payment is confirmed at the bank branch where the Bank Challan was submitted.</span></li>

<h6 style="color: black; font-size: 18px;"><span style="color: #000000;">How to download Hall Ticket for JIPMER 2016</span></h6><br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>✓ </strong> Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination shall be available for download to candidates whose applications are complete in all respects, from 2016 onwards.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>✓ </strong> The hall ticket will contain name and date of birth as typed by the candida te in the application, photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate, Examination City allotted and roll number.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><strong>✓ </strong> NO change in the category/Age/Name/DOB will be entertained after submission of application. The candidates in such case have to apply afresh within the prescribed closing date.</span><br />

<span style="color: #000000;">The Cutoff score of JIPMER MBBS 2016 entrance exam will be based on various factors such as availability of seats, number of applicants and difficulty level in the entrance examination. The cut off mark of JIPMER MBBS 2016 will derived from the total marks secured by candidates out of 200. Results of individual candidates will NOT be communicated in any other form/manner.</span><br />

<span style="color: #000000;">The Marks Obtained by the candidate in the Result of JIPMER 2016 out of 200 will form the basis of Merit List generation.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;">A minimum percentage score has been decided by the exam controlling bodies for every category which will serve as the cutoff score for every candidate to be included in the respective merit list of<strong> Result</strong>.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;"><a name="syllabus" style="color: #000000;"></a></span><br />
<h6 style="color: black; font-size: 18px;"><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: #000000;">JIPMER MBBS Syllabus 2016 </span></h6><span style="color: #000000;">Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) does not prescribe any syllabus for the Entrance Examination. However the questions for JIPMER MBBS EntranceExamination will be based on syllabus for 11th and 12th standard students as prescribed by State Board HSc and CBSE.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #000000;">The paper has multiple choice questions. The total number of multiple choice questions is expected to be 200, equally distributed in the subjects of English-20, Physics-60, Chemistry-60, and Biology-60. Each answer with correct response shall be awarded one mark. There was no negative marking last year. A merit list will be drawn on the basis of the total marks of 200 obtained in the Entrance Exam by the candidates.</span><br />

A candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/Practical training on or before 30th June 2015 [*Candidates not completing the internship on or before 30-06-2015 need not apply for July 2015 session. No condonation of Compulsory Rotating Internship beyond this date shall be accepted].<br />

Candidates who have already done / completed MD/MS in any subject in any Institution are not eligible for admission to MD/MS course at JIPMER.<br />

The Hall Ticket will contain Roll Number, Name, Photo, Signature and Examination city/venue of the Examination. To rectify discrepancy if any the candidate should contact the help desk immediately. Discrepancy would mean difference between the data including the photograph and signature given in the application and the Hall ticket. No rectification will be done if the details given by the candidate in the application and the details contained in the Hall ticket are one and the same. Hall Ticket can be downloaded from the website: www.jipmer.edu.in as per the dateline given in the prospectus.<br />

<h5 style="color: #000000; font-size: 18px;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">JIPMER MD/MS 2015 Syllabus/Exam Pattern</span></h5>The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 250 single best response type MCQs and will cover all subjects. The Entrance Examination will be of the standard of MBBS Examination. Question paper consists of a total of 250 Questions distributed in:<br />

<strong>i. Basic Clinical Sciences - 100 Questions</strong><br />
(Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology).<br />
<br />
<strong>ii. Clinical Sciences- 150 Questions</strong><br />
(Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis, Radio-therapy, Emergency Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Blood Transfusion Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine).<br />

<h5 style="color: #000000; font-size: 18px;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">JIPMER MD/MS 2015 Merit List/Answer Key</span></h5>Merit list prepared for category - wise (UR, OBC, INST, SC, ST, OPH) will be displayed in the Notice Board of Academic Section, JIPMER and website www.jipmer.edu.in on or before 05-06-2015 09.00 PM. Candidates will NOT be informed individually either through telephone or by post, etc.<br />
<br />
The validity of Merit list shall be only for the current academic session i.e. July 2015 session admission for MD/MS courses and cannot be carried forward for the next year/session.<br />
<br />
Downloadable rank letter will be hoisted on website 3 days after publication of merit list. No individual communication regarding merit / ranking / counseling call letter shall be sent to any candidate. This downloaded rank letter should be retained safely till the completion of Admission Process.<br />
<br />
Merit Ranking would be based on percentile.<br />

In respect of Unreserved Orthopedic Physically Challenged (OPH) candidates, 45 shall be the minimum percentile. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in the Entrance Examination will not be considered for admission and their names will not be included in the Merit List.<br />

Adequate number of Candidates shall be called from eligible candidates from all the categories so that Roster Point is not blocked for lack of attendance. Counseling will be done according to the category rank (UR / INST / OBC / SC / ST / OPH) and not by the overall rank as per the Roster Point allocation method.
